Selected to participate in an intensive NEH K-12 institute that analyzed how WWI impacted the Middle East.
Attended lectures delivered by experts in the field.
Participated in various workshops including artefact analysis and bringing movies and fiction in the classroom
Worked alongside other educators from around the country to develop curriculum and lesson plans centered around the material we were learning.
Developed my own lesson plans based on the material we had learned. This lesson will be available in the National World War I Museum and Memorial soon.

Attended an intensive three-day institute aimed at diversity education among independent school practitioners
Participated in workshops teaching how to address bias and racist incidents when they arise in a school settings
Participated in workshops intended to educate diversity practitioners on how to have conversations about these topics at their institutions
Attended a session on civic online reasoning and how political organizations can manipulate information in order to emphasize a specific viewpoint
Center for the Study of Ethical Education, Institute for Teaching World Religions, New York, NY, Summer 2022
Attended a an intensive three0day institute aimed at helping educators improve their pedagogical practices when teaching about Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam.
Attended various lectures by experts in divinity and their respective religions and learned about different approaches and materials that can be used when teaching such sensitive content
Facing History and Ourselves, Teaching the Nanjing Atrocities: Crimes of War, Remote, February 2022
Attended a Zoom sessions to learn about the different resources that Facing History and Ourselves has curated in order to teach about Nanjing.
